The 2nd annual Crashing Man! This year with (hopefully) cooler temps – moved it almost two months earlier.

Think Burning Man, but with airplanes and dirt bikes. On a BLM dry lake bed – no water, electricity, bathrooms, anything. LEAVE NO TRACE – whatever you bring, pack out.

Borrego Airport is 12 miles away with fuel, bathrooms, restaurant, etc. Less than 10 minute flight (if you’re not flying, I’m sure others would fly you), 30 minute drive. Feel free to bring friends, booze, food (can coordinate that in the Google spreadsheet below), guitars, dirt bikes, one wheels, firewood, etc. I will bring a PA system for music – and have a generator for that.

I (Chase) will show up early and setup “runways” with cones and a windsock/flag. There’s a long east-west runway, and a short north-south runway. The east/west could be landed by nosewheel airplanes. All of this is obviously at your own risk.

If there are people that want to bring a vehicle/dirt bikes/toy hauler/motorhome into the desert, AND an airplane – I’m happy to come pick you up in the desert and bring you back to San Diego to pickup your plane.

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LAND PLUS ONE AIRPLANES OFF FIELD UNLES YOU HAVE OWNER PERMISSION. Please don’t break that rule.
